About the Trails
Dothan’s Forever Wild Trails at Beaver Creek wind through some of the beautiful backwoods of Southeastern Alabama wilderness. The trail system traces through a 387-acre tract of woodlands, partially managed by the city of Dothan.
The trail system, nestled between Flowers Chapel Road and Fortner Street, boasts six distinct trail loops, all connected via a set of bridges and junctions. Loops range from one to two miles in length, but the more adventurous can traverse the whole 10-plus mile system.
The mile-long bridges crossing Beaver Creek remain a main feature that many enjoy. Bike repair depots, along with changing rooms and wash stations, are sprinkled throughout Dothan’s Forever Wild Trails. The depots reside at each trailhead, as well as the boardwalk intersections. You can find the wash stations and changing rooms at the east and west trailheads.
